Right now Sephora is having it’s Beauty Insider spring saving sale, and it’s one you don’t want to miss out on. Like the Nordstrom’s anniversary sale, there are different Beauty Insider levels which get access to sales on different dates. For top-tier Rouge members, the sale started April 17, with 20 percent off your entire order until May 1. VIB members can shop the sale from April 21 to 29 and enjoy 15 percent off orders, and Insiders can shop the sale from April 23 to April 27 with 10 percent off orders.

Every year, Allure holds it’s annual “Best of Beauty” awards where they name their top product picks in each beauty category, so I decided to do something similar and share my top favorite products in the makeup, skin, and hair categories.

Even though I consider myself a fashion blogger, I get beauty products sent to me regularly. In the past couple of years, I’ve been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to try A LOT. A handful of them have been complete game-changers. These are the items that I share on my social media and in all of my content. A large majority of them, however, have been complete garbage, and you’ll never hear me mention them, let alone recommend them!

These bad products haven’t been a total waste, though! Now I know a good one when I see it, and I’ve become more appreciative of the tried and true products that I have been using for years. The beauty industry is similar to fast-fashion: products come and go by the DAY. Retailers and sales associates are often forced to push the latest products rather than the best products in order to keep up with the competition. The products that survive, do so for a reason: they work and people come back to them despite the fact there might be a newer shinier product in the window display.

I’m telling you all this, because many of my favorite picks below are probably ones you are familiar with that have been around for years. If currently use one of them, I suggest you stick with it! If you’ve been tempted to try something new, fear not! I still have a lot of under the radar items that are TOTALLY worth the try.
