Wow! This has not been the year any of us anticipated. I didn’t know what to expect going into 2020, but not this.
I know it’s been a while since I came on here and wrote a post. Honestly, the first couple of months of this year, I was extremely busy at work and doing a lot of copy writing for my job. After writing all day, coming home and writing a blog post was the last thing I wanted to do. I had a serious case of writer’s block, and was honestly feeling uninspired. That’s not to say I haven’t been producing content – it’s just been on Instagram, and most recently TikTok. If you’ve missed me, I suggest you follow me there if you don’t already.
When the pandemic hit a few weeks ago, it was very scary, but I wasn’t that surprised. I had been following the Coronavirus on the news daily since the end of January. The thought of a pandemic has ALWAYS been one of my biggest fears. I often joke with my friends, that if there’s another bubonic plague I would be the first to go. I get sick VERY easily, and have had very bad cases of the flu and chickenpox in the past. I was tracking the spread, and every day it seemed to get worse. Once it hit Europe, I knew one of my biggest fears was imminent.
I didn’t panic, though. Instead, I started to prepare. I stocked up on cleaning products, medicine, and other essential items way before most people. I came to terms early on that this virus was something I could not control. What I could control, was my preparedness and my actions to limit risk of contracting the virus.
Another thing I could control, was my attitude and reaction to the situation. I could choose to hold onto the anger about what was happening across the world. I could choose to be upset that all my plans had been cancelled, my dating life put on hold, my travel plans done, or I could choose to focus on how I can better my situation.

I’ve exercised my ENTIRE life. Group fitness classes have become something that has become an essential activity that is vital to my well-being. Honestly, once our shelter-in-place order was issued, and gyms closed, not being able to workout in the same capacity became one of my top concerns (along with contracting the virus, obviously). I knew I needed to get creative with my workouts and find ways to motivate myself.
LUCKILY, Exhale, the fitness studio I belong to, has an app with hundreds of on demand videos of the workouts I am used to (they are offering 30 a FREE trial, click here) and many of the instructors are offering FREE live classes throughout the week (I post the live class information on my Instagram so make sure you follow me there).
Even though I had all these great resources at my fingertips, I had become accustom to the group setting environment. I was nervous I would lack the motivation and discipline to do the workouts on my own. I knew I would need to create a comfortable, spacious space for me to workout. I also knew I would grow tired of bodyweight only exercises, and would want the additional equipment and props I was used to. And they had to be cute, because a whole bunch of ugly equipment lying around my room wasn’t going to help light any fires under me!
As I searched online, I found a lot of the equipment and accessories I came across was sold out, or had long shipping delays. I had to do some serious searching to find the equipment I needed (with the style I was looking for) which is why I am about to share what I found with you!
Whether you prefer yoga, pilates, HIIT, or cardio, these 15 cute female-friendly workout and exercise equipment and accessories are everything you need to do your workouts at home and motivate you to go the extra mile.

I pray that you are all safe, healthy, and well. I struggled with what my first post back would be for a while. While I remain optimistic and positive, I am heartbroken for those who had to endure MUCH, MUCH more difficult hardships in this situation than I have. My main goal for starting this blog was to build a community of like-minded women who support each other.
We all need love, support, and hope during this time, which is what I will do my best to create and share content that inspires well-being, positivity, and optimism for all of us during this time. If a cheerful tie-dye yoga mat, and cute set of resistance loops motivates you, like it does me to stay active and take care of your body, I will have done my job 🙂
I truly believe we will all come out of this stronger, wiser, and more in tune with what we want for our future. We really are all in this together, and my greater hope is that this blog came be a place where we can all stay connected.
Virtual Hugs and Kisses XOXO
